Zoldria Injection

Zoldria Injection or Zoledronate is a bisphosphonate. Zometa is helpful to prevent skeletal fractures in patients with cancers such as multiple myeloma and prostate cancer, as well as for treating osteoporosis. It can also be beneficial to treat hypercalcemia of malignancy and can be used for treating pain from bone metastases. An annual dose of Zoldria Injection may also prevent recurring fractures in patients with a previous hip fracture.

Zoldria contains Zoledronic acid and relates to a class of medications called bisphosphonates. Zoldria is helpful in treating osteoporosis in women and men. Zoldria Injection is also used to treat pagets's disorder of bone. It may be beneficial in treating bone disease in patients who have cancer.

Zoldria Injection works by reducing the breakdown of the bone and enlarging the bones density. This decreases the consequential amount of calcium that is discharged into the blood from the bones and helps to lower your blood calcium level.

Zoldria Injection should not be used without consulting your doctor if you have, liver disease, cardiac disease, kidney disease, asthma, an electrolyte imbalance, hypocalcemia, hypoparathyroidism, or if you had undergone thyroid or parathyroid surgery.
