Fraxel® Laser Treatment

The Fraxel® SR1500 laser was launched in fall 2006 and followed the Fraxel® 750 laser. The Fraxel® SR1500 system is the latest innovation in aesthetic laser medical technology from the company that pioneered fractional laser delivery for skin restoration. This Fraxel® laser sets the standard for anti-aging, collagen remodeling and non-ablative skin resurfacing. The Fraxel® laser provides a highly effective, predictable and safe non-ablative treatment for patients with acne scarring, melasma or hormonal skin discoloration, periorbital wrinkles, brown spots, sun damage and stretch marks.

The Fraxel® laser has many clinical advantages over less sophisticated aesthetic medical devices. It has FDA clearance for treatment at 70mJ (beyond 1.4 mm into the dermis). The optical zoom hand piece allows for a precise spot size to optimize both lesion width and depth based on the treatment parameters selected. The Fraxel® laser has a continuous motion hand piece and new roller tip for safe, efficient and fast treatments. This second generation intelligent optical tracking system provides a smooth, consistent, uniform pattern delivery without the need for the blue dye that was previously used. The ergonomic handpiece and extended sapphire tip allow for convenient treatment around the eyes and on the upper lip. The Fraxel® has high-resolution graphics that provide real-time measurement feedback on the screen and a smart treatment control engine that calculates the depth of penetration and dosage delivery based on the operator's selection of energy and treatment level.
