Description
For determination for resistance of different soil strata to dynamic penetration of 50 mm cone and thereby obtain an indication regarding their relative strength or density or both. The method helps reconnaissance survey of wide area in a short time.
In some cases where it is difficult to pull the cone out after the completion of the test (When the depth is more) , cone without threads are used as it may be left in the ground.
As per IS 4968 P-1 Consists of one cone, plain 50mm base dia. and cone angle 60 degree, one cone adapter, guide pipe assembly, with one end cap and driving head with threads for 'A' rod coupling. Tripod stand 6-meter height with built in ladder with pulley arrangement, drives weight 65 kg. Fitted with chain
- Split spoon sampler with liner.
- Hand drive weight 140 lbs [65 kg] made of mild steel fitted with chain.
- Guide Pipe assembly with one end cap, one driving head with threads for 'A' rod coupling. The guide permits the drive weight to fall freely through a height of 75 cms.
- Cone, Plain 50 mm base dia and 60 degree cone angle.
- Cone Adaptor which fits on the cone, with standard threads for 'A' rod couplings.
- Cone, Threaded for 'A' rod coupling. Base dia 50 mm. Cone angle 60 degrees.
- Tripod to have effective height 5 meters in two pcs 63mm appx with pulley.
- A winch manually operated
'A' Drill rods are needed for the conduction of the test. They are not included in the outfit.
