Glycolic Peel (AHA)
This peel stimulates the new growth of skin and collagen by clearing the superficial layer of the dead skin that forms the top layer and creates a dull complexion. Salicylic Acid Peel
Salicylic acid is the Beta Hydroxy Acid most commonly used in cosmetics. It is obtained in the lab from willow tree bark. The name "Salicylic" may be familiar to you from the scientific name of aspirin: acetylsalicylic acid. They are mostly used in cases of active and post acne lesions.
Your skin will be shiny and red for a few hours after treatment. Flaking and itchiness are also possible in the first few days. Use high SPF creams every time you go out, because sun sensitivity increases after BHA peels.
TCA Peel
Trichloracetic acid (TCA) peels are considered medium-depth peels. They reach slightly deeper into the skin than alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) peels--and thus often produce stronger results.
These peels also have the advantage of being suitable for most skin types, including darker-toned skin. To avoid discoloration, however, people with dark brown skin need to follow a pre-treatment protocol that may include treating the skin with alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) first
